Job Description

  • This position supports NAVSEA in the acquisition, stand-up and lifecycle support for new combat systems, high-tech trainers for the Navy. 
  • Develops and evaluates plans for training systems supporting modernization, new construction acquisition programs. 
  • Assesses and recommends the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve problems. 
  • You will be part of a large team that works closely with the customer and other teams to deliver quality training systems.

  • Provide program management and training services support for Combined Integrated Air Missile Defense Training (CIAT) / Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) training and AEGIS Ashore Trainer as needed.
  • Develop out- year strategic budget planning that covers requirements, curriculum development, delivery to schoolhouse and end of service life as required by the Department of Defense 5000.2 series and OPNAV instructions for Warfare Chairs.
  • Determine the impact of training requirements that are not fully funded, communicates these impacts, along with recommended solutions, to the leadership of SEA 21 and PEO Ships to allow timely adjustments of unfunded requirements, avoiding impact on the fleet.
  • Make recommendations for Warfare requirements and advise the Mission Area Chair on defending the requirements to the Surface Expeditionary Warfare Training Committee (SEWTC) and the resource sponsor.
  • Provides recommended adjustments to out-year strategic planning based on new construction and modernization fielding profile changes.
  • This position specializes in the planning, acquisition, and stand up of Navy training system.


Candidate Requirements:

  • An active Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor`s degree and 8-10 years experience. (An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.)
  • Possesses knowledge of AEGIS Weapons Systems and applicable Navy Combat Systems training and operational mission areas and training system requirements. Experience in Acquisition Program Management and/or Navy Project Management. 
  • Navy Operational / Navy Training experience and/or Navy DOD Experience. 
  • Expert Expertise in Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • OPNAV / Pentagon Acquisition Experience• DAWIA Certification.
  • CIAT / Aegis Combat Systems experience. 
  • Surface Warfare Officers and Surface Warfare Qualified Enlisted experience.
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) or Former Navy Instructor experience.
