Pipe Fitter 1st Class



Job Description:

• Pipe Fitters will be installing, inspecting, maintaining and repairing the systems that deliver products or energy aboard Navy and Commercial Ships.
• Pipe Fitters will also be installing and maintaining valves, gauges and switches to operate these systems.
• Will be working in confined spaces.
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Be silver braze qualified.
• Able to read blue prints, schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Have working knowledge of rolling offsets and take outs.
• Ability to bend and thread pipe and fittings and fabricate templates.
• Must be able to pass Tack Weld test.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years recent experience in a shipyard.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
