Job Description

  • Create master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each job to meet proposed completion dates
  • Develop new or revise existing schedule(s) according to work order specifications , priorities & availability
  • Compile reports concerning progress of work and downtime to apprise production planning personnel delays
  • Plans & schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established lead times
  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Prepares production reports


High school diploma or GED required

Apprentice graduate or Trade school preferred

Associates degree a plus

Microsoft Project certification a plus

Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Project ( 5 years plus experience)

Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite

Able to read/comprehend blueprints (Marine Architecture – Machinery, Piping, Sheet Metal, Structural, Ventilation, and Technical Manuals)

General knowledge of shipyard trades – at least 5 years experience

Must be able to pass a drug/physical screening

Must be able to obtain a government facility security badge
